Society Session 001

Why this one means a little more.

Our Society Sessions are about padel, but also the moments around the court. The coffee before a game. The conversations afterwards. Bringing people together, meeting new people and building a community beyond the game.

That was always the idea behind The Pádel Society.

But this one means a little more.

Cancer is something that has affected so many of us in one way or another. Friends, family and people we know. Some have come through it. Some are still going through it. And some, sadly, are no longer with us.

For us, this one is personal.

One of our family members, still in her 20s, is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Seeing someone so young go through something like this puts a lot into perspective.

So when it came to putting together our first Society Session, we wanted it to stand for something bigger than us.

Society Session 001 is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We wanted to take the things The Pádel Society is built around, padel, coffee, food and people, and use them to bring a community together for a good cause.

We’ve had some amazing businesses donate, agree to pop up on the day or simply offer their time and support. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone getting involved.

On 26 September, we’ll bring all of that together for the first time.

There’ll be padel. There’ll be competition. Food, coffee, kids activities and plenty happening around the courts.

But more importantly, there’ll be people coming together.

Whether you’re playing in the Americano, trying padel for the first time, bringing the family down or simply coming along to support the day, every bit of support helps us raise more for Macmillan.

For her. For everyone. 💚
