Classic vs Collegiate

Classic vs Collegiate

From the beginning, The Pádel Society has been built around two expressions of the same idea: Classic and Collegiate.

They aren’t trends.

They’re a framework.

A way of designing that reflects how padel is actually lived — on court and around it.

Classic

Classic is about restraint.

Rooted in heritage sportswear and early racket-sport culture, it prioritises pieces that feel familiar from the first wear and better over time. Quality is felt before it’s seen.

Muted palettes.

Minimal graphics.

A focus on fabric, construction, and longevity.

Our PS socks sit within this expression — understated by design, built around comfort, durability, and feel. Made to integrate naturally into how you play.

As Classic expands into tees, hoodies, and outerwear, the same principles remain: timeless silhouettes, considered details, and branding that stays secondary to wearability.

Classic is built to last.

Collegiate

Collegiate is about identity.

Inspired by club culture, team wear, and the social side of sport, it’s more expressive by nature. Names, lettering, and references are worn openly — as signals of belonging.

Our Bandejá socks live within this expression, referencing the game directly through shared language and recognisable moments.

Collegiate pieces are designed to exist beyond the rally — before matches, after matches, and around the spaces where padel becomes social. That same language will extend into graphic tees, hoodies, and future pieces, grounded in naming, typography, and community.

Collegiate reflects connection.

Why both exist

Padel lives in both worlds. There are moments that call for control and restraint.

And others that invite expression and connection. We didn’t want to choose between those ideas — because the game doesn’t.

Classic and Collegiate aren’t competing collections. They’re two expressions of the same values.

One leans inward.

The other outward.

Both belong on and around the court.

How this shapes what we make

Across socks, tees, hoodies, and what comes next, the distinction stays clear.

  • Classic prioritises material, form, and longevity.
  • Collegiate leans into naming, identity, and shared culture.

The aim isn’t variety for its own sake.

It’s coherence.

Every piece fits within a wider system, allowing the range to grow without losing clarity.

Why it matters

Padel culture is broad enough to hold both restraint and expression.

Classic and Collegiate exist to reflect that balance — giving players the freedom to choose how they show up, without compromising on quality or intent.

Different expressions.

Same foundation.
